Digital audio recorders and digital recording technology is a relatively new product on the emerging technology markets in the 21st century, this is mainly due to the fact that previous audio recorders of earlier years were severely constrained by the size, or rather a lack of available drive space per hard disk, thus rendering them as only usable within huge rack arrays of large companies located in monitored server rooms much like we remember them in science fiction films from the 1960s.
